Olanrewaju Oladimeji Daodu

Olanrewaju 'Dimeji Daodu (born 23 March 1983) is a Nigerian social entrepreneur [Mentors 1] and Biochemist. He is the Principal Consultant of DEAL Network[2] [Consultants 1] He is columnist with few local [1] and international media [2]. He is also a poet [3].

In 2012, Olanrewaju was accepted and approved to participate at the Annual Bank Conference on Development Economics (ABCDE) [4] - Accountability and Transparency for Development, which took place in Washington, DC, on May 7-8, 2012. Also in 2014,he was selected as one of Nigerian delegates to the One Young World [5] Summit in Dublin.


Early life

Olanrewaju Oladimeji Daodu was born in Ibadan,Oyo State, Nigeria to Engineer and Mrs Gbadebo Daodu who both hailed from Ekiti State.He started his education at Victory Nursery and Primary, Ibadan and proceeded to African Church Grammar School, Ibadan. He graduated from Olabisi Onabanjo University [6],Ogun State with a degree in Biochemistry and as since earned additional educational qualifications in relevant fields.

Contributions and achievements

Olanrewaju serves as a task force member for Peace Child International [7] on full youth employment by 2030. Peace Child International is a UK based charity focusing on youth entrepreneurship, employability, sustainable development and youth empowerment. He served as Regional Ambassador for Girl Rising [8], New York, and USA.Girl Rising is a global campaign for girls’ education and empowerment. He creates and sustains a movement for girl and ensures that girls’ education is part of the mainstream conversation.

Olanrewaju is a two-time selected delegate for Global Education and Skills Forum (GESF) [9] 2014/2015 in Dubai.

He received a Merit Award of Excellence of the 15th Graduating Set of Biochemistry Department,Ikenne,Ogun State,Nigeria. He has been resourceful in sharing meaningful solutions and innovations on several forward-thinking discussions on education, development and peace such as but not limited to UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development:UNESCO MGEIP [10] Conference:TAGe on Prevention of Violent Extremism through Education and UNESCO Week for Peace and Sustainable Development.
