Hi, I have tagged List of number-one hits in Norway for deletion as it possibly violates the copyrights of the major Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang. Ulflarsen ( talk) 15:42, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
Another editor has added the {{
prod}}
template to the article
List of number-one hits in Norway, suggesting that it be deleted according to the
proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also
Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and
Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at
its talk page. If you remove the {{
prod}}
template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to
Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.

An editor has nominated List of number-one hits in Norway, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also " What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of number-one hits in Norway and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot ( talk) 15:04, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Hello. I've noticed that you have added several new "triple intersection" categories such as this one for footballers. While I appreciate your efforts to improve Wikipedia's coverage of football, this appears to be a case of overcategorization (as Category:Expatriate footballers in Costa Rica would suffice). Indeed, there was a CfD on this very topic which resulted in delete all. See: [1]. I am going to begin reverting these triple intersects back to the parent categories and wanted to let you know. Please let me know if you have any questions. Best regards. Jogurney ( talk) 22:26, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
Hello, this is a message from
an automated bot. A tag has been placed on
Category:Estonian expatriate footballers in Bulgaria, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting
Category:Estonian expatriate footballers in Bulgaria, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at

Per reversion guidelines, that isn't what the Undo button is for. Your edit pretty much overrode my removal, while you added your own changes (not the same thing) while throwing shade my way for improper housekeeping. It's not my "job" to track down a source, when the DI lead clearly says to add one with entries. — Wylie pedia 00:28, 18 August 2016 (UTC)
Regarding this, I won't revert you, but ask you to consider how long cancer (or many other diseases) takes between starting and finishing. Often years. A fall is external, so different, but directly responsible for death, so the same.
If you appreciate that, revert yourself, but if not, that's cool. InedibleHulk (talk) 21:22, 28 August 2016 (UTC)

Hi. The editor who just removed the "death announced" tag from Arnold Clark in Deaths in 2017 has obviously, in total "good faith", learnt that the date of death had been established. Unlike yourself, he had only neglected to provided the relevant source, move the subject to the correct date or provide an edit summary. Now, I know that's a lot to be forgetting or neglecting to do, but it doesn't represent removing the tag "for the sake of it". His edit had been 'live' just five minutes! I think a little good grace and no comment is in order some times. Thanks though for getting it right where he had made his "mistakes". Ref (chew) (do) 12:31, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
Fuck me for trying to find her date of death, right? Rusted AutoParts 16:19, 26 April 2017 (UTC)
This edit summary was an unacceptable outburst. I apologise for that. Rusted AutoParts 22:23, 30 May 2017 (UTC)
I was running on the assumption that, with the date being noted on the wiki article, it was sourced and thus I didn't need to track a source. Upon completing that I realized this wasn't the greatest way of verifying. But just in general I search the person/animal to see if any other sources can be found that have more info. In some cases more info doesn't come right away. But in this one there was a source. I'll verify better, but i'd also ask of you to make sure there's no other sources available. Rusted AutoParts 19:50, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
Sorry, I took the sentence "he rounded 70 yesterday" to be a rough translation to he died yesterday", but I realized that it was a post he made when he turned 70 the week before. My bad. Rusted AutoParts 23:02, 9 August 2017 (UTC)
BBC, Rolling Stone, The Hollywood Reporter, The New York Times and Variety are all citing Tuesday. I can't revert the edit back, so if you could please undo yourself. Rusted AutoParts 15:37, 21 September 2017 (UTC)
Hi. A good faith user just recently caused you to have to go through a large number of housekeeping edits through their use of AutoEd on the above page, and I have also had to clean up the other format abuses which were caused by his actions. Hi. I realise you may well be in a PART of Europe which has access to certain blocked sites (and especially referring to the Tribune group in the USA), but I can assure you that the UK (and probably other countries in Europe) certainly didn't have access - we were redirected to a dedicated page saying "Sorry, this content is not available in your region.". I have never claimed that the blocks are Europe-wide, and some sites apparently specifically state that "the content is not available in some parts of Europe".
I never put tags of any kind in lightly - I do look for alternatives but, I'm sorry, if the claimed source will not display to the people of my own country, I am going to ask for a better one through a tag. Although Wikipedia guidelines seem to say that paywalled and suchlike content should be believed on trust, I prefer to examine things with my own eyes, and always will.
As it happens, in the recent instance the issue was later resolved by the provision of a world-wide accessible reference (as I knew it eventually would be). However, what I'm asking today is that you let my tagged sources stay in there until such time as the better source comes along. I assure you that I never lie, especially within the Wikipedia world. Frankie Smith is a music legend in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Yet if he has truly passed away why is there NOT a single news article from any Philadelphia television news stations or newspapers? It's been almost 3 months since he supposedly died.
The fact that the only websites reporting his death are BLOGS (such as BlackAmericaWeb) makes me suspect Frankie Smith was/is the subject of a death hoax. I cite Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. Specifically, the section on questionable sources.
But whatever consensus is decided upon by other admins, I will abide by. 73.9.202.181 ( talk) 14:51, 25 May 2019 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2014–15 Four Hills Tournament, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Anders Jacobsen. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi. Slightly mystified as to why you added Clive Burr to the Deaths in 2016 page - he died in 2013. I have removed the entry. Thanks. Ref (chew) (do) 23:16, 14 March 2016 (UTC)
Greetings ....
This is to let you of my edit to your original post of the Sally Beauman obit on the Wikipedia "Deaths" page. Everything you had was OK except for the omission of the text "http://" just before the rest of the link www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-36763473
Always remember that (unless otherwise) Wikipedia requires http;// in order for external links to function correctly.
Thanks most kindly for your contribution Peace from Fgf2007 ( talk) 13:43, 11 July 2016 (UTC)

I have had a word on his page to ask him not to use the bot on the Deaths pages. Cheers. Ref (chew) (do) 19:29, 1 December 2017 (UTC)

Thanks. Ref (chew) (do) 19:57, 10 December 2018 (UTC)

Hi. I think I've found a valid reference for the death of the above, but I'm getting a lot of resistance as regards adding it in his article, and I suspect the same will eventually be true for Deaths in March 2019 (8th). So please give your opinion on the BlackAmericaWeb.com statement here, and the actual validity of that website. (I may also need editorial support in order that I do not exceed 3RR in the near future.) Thanks. Ref (chew) (do) 14:01, 25 May 2019 (UTC)
73.9.202.181 ( talk) 14:51, 25 May 2019 (UTC)
i stand corrected about BlackAmericaWeb not being a blog. Still, where's the coverage from local news at the very least?
Nonetheless I am a man of my word. And I don't want to be responsible for overzealous editors like Ref (chew) (do) having a nervous breakdown because their edits get reverted. So I will no longer edit the article in question. So long and thank you for being the adult in the room. :-) 73.9.202.181 ( talk) 00:44, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
Just curious why the polar bear, Lyutyik, was removed from Deaths. Is it because he was a redlink? Other polar bears have appeared in Deaths over the years. I note that there are TWO David Roths listed under January deaths in 2021 to be added to that month. One goes to a disambiguation page and the other to a specific article. Surely, two different David Roths didn't die in the same month of the same year. Editrite! ( talk) 00:21, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
