Speedy deletion declined: David Herskovits

Greetings! I've declined your speedy deletion request for David Herskovits because you are not the original editor of the article. If you think there's some other reason the article should be deleted, please explain—especially since you'd made revisions to the article just before requesting deletion. — C.Fred ( talk) 13:55, 22 September 2011 (UTC) reply

I've checked the spelling against both the New York Times article cited as a reference and the contact info at Papermag; the article has been moved to David Hershkovits, the verified spelling of his last name. — C.Fred ( talk) 14:04, 22 September 2011 (UTC) reply
If you think the name should end in a Z, you'll need to furnish some reliable sources that confirm the spelling. If you find the sources, the article will be moved but not deleted. — C.Fred ( talk) 14:07, 22 September 2011 (UTC) reply

I've just reverted the changes you made to Paper (magazine). Please be aware that this is an encyclopedia, not a business directory, and encyclopedia articles are neutral, not promotional. The content you added to the article was promotional and buzzword-y, and isn't acceptable for the purpose of an encyclopedia. A fluffernutter is a sandwich! Conflict of interest

Hello Ncacia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you.

Given your pattern of editing articles related to Paper magazine, and given your prior user name, it's clear you have a conflict of interest. — C.Fred ( talk) 19:39, 22 September 2011 (UTC) reply
