Mr budgie was born into a religious family, his father is a reverent of the Emanuel Pentecostal Faith Church of God. Mr budgie family’s has always been very closely tied to music and they have great memories of being involved with the church band and choir.
Mr budgie grew up Brixton South London and was brought up in a house of 10, were music was always played.
Artists such as Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye, to name but a few, triggered his musical interest from an early age.
At the age of 13 He began taking classical music lessons on the piano as a small child, this evolved into beat making and, started his road to becoming a producer hip hop -artist.
He began making demos, one of which caught the attention of local youth centre where he began to expand on his growing passion for composing and vocaling music.
Many skills were gain from this experience which lead to a more focus professional approach to making music as well as building a reputation around the local community.
Mr. Budgie attended [college] for two years, at the age of 17 to study music and sound engineering. Mr Budgie continued to write songs and produce for many different local and establish artist such as firecs and So Solid Crew.
He continued to writing songs for himself and later on became serious about developing into a main stream Rap artist.
One of the many artists that inspired him to song write was Tupac Shakur. He always embraced his strong poetic lyrical style and his charismatic ability to make you empathize with the messages in his songs.
Other artist and producers started also too inspired such as Teddy Riley, Dark Child, Track masters and Ignorance, all of which helped him to identify the meaning of original and powerful quality, in music making.
