That must explain the incorrect name for southern Lake County Road 19A. --------- User:DanTD ( talk) 16:38, 1 December 2013 (UTC)
I appreciate your efforts to keep the SR 362 entry up-to-date. However, it appears that an extra two miles of length were incorrectly added to the route in the entry. Google Maps shows SR 362 this way, but Google Maps frequently has errors of their own [citation needed]. I believe HowardSF's terminus in the original article is correct.
The official Georgia DOT map of Spalding County was last edited in September 2013, and can be found at http://www.dot.ga.gov/informationcenter/maps/Documents/County%20maps/Spalding.pdf. That PDF may well be the first update to the Spalding map in fifteen years [opinion].
The PDF shows that SR 362 currently ends at the US19/US41/SR3 diamond freeway interchange, and not at the SR155/US19biz/US41biz intersection closer to downtown Griffin. Additionally, Google Maps' very own street view of the intersection with the NB ramps also shows that SR 362 ends there. To view this, please type the "33.2303,-84.2915" Lat-Long coordinates into Google Maps, click on the green pointer, click the photo to engage the Street View, turn to face ENE along Williamson Road (SR 362), and the "END SR 362" sign is waiting for you.
An older official GDOT Spalding County map that I once downloaded from http://georgiainfo.galileo.usg.edu/DOTmaps/DOTmaplist.htm does seem to indicate that the terminus in the current entry may have been correct in 1998, even though the road is inside Griffin City Limits at that point, and unclear in the County map [opinion].
Thanks again for all the hard work!
