All the above is boilerplate, obviously, but I'd like to add a more personal welcome, having seen your edits at the Haida article. Your edit summary seemed to indicate you are Haida yourself, and if that's correct, I am doubly pleased to welcome you. You no doubt have access to sources of information that can improve this article, and many others. And not just new information, but a fresh perspective too -- it is easy to fall into the wiki-sin of writing from one point of view without even realising it. The comfort of consensus reality, I suppose you could call it. Having another knowledgeable editor such as yourself is a good vaccination against that, and helps the encyclopedia achieve the desired neutral point of view. Having said that, there are some tweaks to your edits I would propose; I hope we can discuss them at Talk:Haida. In the meantime, if I can help with anything, please drop me a line on my talkpage. A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Haida manga, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's
criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "
What Wikipedia is not" and
Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{
dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on
its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Please do not write an article about yourself. Creating an
autobiography is strongly discouraged - see our guideline
Writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for
articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See
Wikipedians with articles.) Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see
Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you.
