When adding links to material on an external site, as you did to
Xiaolin Showdown, please ensure that the external site is not
violating the creator's copyright. Linking to websites that display copyrighted works is acceptable as long as the website's operator has created or licensed the work. Knowingly directing others to a site that violates copyright may be considered contributory infringement. This is particularly relevant when linking to sites such as
YouTube, where due care should be taken to avoid linking to material that violates its creator's copyright. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be
blocked from editing.
If you believe the linked site is not violating copyright with respect to the material, then you should do one of the following:
If the material is available on a different site that satisfies one of the above conditions, link to that site instead. Jay32183 ( talk) 17:32, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
You have added many external links to your own site to Wikipedia. Please stop adding advertising or inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Thanks. rspεεr ( talk) 05:47, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
I am not spamming anything friend, merely linking to content that Wikipedia is talking about on any given page. It happens to be on my website yes but that should not matter. I am not spamming as I make no money from uploading the content. So if I happen to have directed or animated whole episodes of content that Wikipedia talks about, I should therefore be exempt from linking to it simply because you don't understand the definition of spamming? It is INFORMATION Sharing and that is the point of Wikipedia. Before you decide to call me such a strong word as a spammer check out my credentials and my website and you'll realize that the content is what is being referenced in the post and it is valid.
