Hello, Michaelleach, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I notice that one of the first articles you created was Michael Vatikiotis, which appears to be an article about yourself. This is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.
The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

You are more than welcome to continue making quality contributions to Wikipedia. Note that because you are a logged-in user, you can create articles yourself, and don't have to post a request. However, you may continue submitting work to Articles for Creation if you prefer.
Thank you for helping improve Wikipedia!
Arthur goes shopping ( talk) 13:24, 23 April 2013 (UTC)Dear Michaelleach:
Your article about He Jiahong is almost ready. I have removed the word "famously" and added a citation to support the word "expert", which I believe should make the article sound a little less promotional. There is one thing left to do: The lead summary is too long, and includes duplication rather than summarization of some material found later in the article. My advice is to remove the paragraph about his education from the lead, and instead move the little bit of extra information into the paragraph in the "early life" section. The same goes for the paragraph about leading students against corruption. Maybe it should be "early and professional life"since some items are ongoing, but that's up to you. When this is done, if you leave a note on my talk page at User talk:Anne Delong I will pass the article. — Anne Delong ( talk) 13:16, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

— Anne Delong ( talk) 21:21, 16 July 2013 (UTC)Hi Michaelleach.
Unfortunately, I have tagged Michael Vatikiotis for proposed deletion on 6 September 2013. It looks like it may be an autobiography. I know how it feels to have your content tagged for deletion — because I have had some of my hard work deleted from Wikipedia as well. :( Unfortunately, autobiographies are not usually okay here. If the page is indeed an autobiography, and you want it deleted sooner, I'm not quite sure if this is possible. Maybe you can try blanking the page and replacing the contents with {{ db-author}}. I'm not sure if this will be effective or not. But if people complain that you did it, then you can blame it on me, and explain that I told you to do it.
I have looked at He Jiahong as well, and added some maintenance tags. I see you did manage to push it through Articles for Creation, but still, I'm not sure that it meets our inclusion criteria. Please see the unofficial summary of our inclusion criteria at WP:42. Are you sure that there exist at least two independent reliable sources which include significant coverage of Mr. Jiahong? ("Significant coverage" is hard to define. One opinion says it means "at least one lengthy paragraph — preferably more". But see WP:SIGCOV.) If yes, could you please tell me which sources these are?
Please use "cut and paste" to remove this conversation from your talk page and to move it onto mine. If I reply back, I can do the same to move the conversation onto your talk page.
It's very frustrating to have your creations deleted. Do save a copy of your articles's source wikitext and rendered text. You can then perhaps copy your creations onto some alternative wikis if you like.
If I may offer two suggestions for the future:
I hope you will overcome this initial adversity and remain a Wikipedian.

Thanks for uploading File:He jiahong image small.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Diannaa ( talk) 02:36, 2 September 2013 (UTC)
