Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "ACM Content Editor", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it appears that you are editing on behalf of Allegany College of Maryland. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 14:51, 3 July 2013 (UTC) reply

Please address the concern about your username and potential conflict of interest before continuing to edit. Any edit without first explaining your relationship to ACM will result in a block from editing. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 15:03, 3 July 2013 (UTC) reply

Username

I am employed by ACM as their Marketing Content editor, thus my user name is not misrepresenting. ACM Content Editor ( talk) 16:35, 3 July 2013 (UTC) reply

Your title indicates that you are employed to promote the school. If that is the case, you are better to avoid editing on any topic related to the school or its personnel, past or present. It will be very difficult for you to edit while avoiding conflict of interest and with a neutral point of view based on your job. You cannot edit in any official capacity on behalf of anyone or anything. Your username doesn't misrepresent anything, but it indicates that you are editing on behalf of ACM. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 17:02, 3 July 2013 (UTC) reply

I am editing on behalf of ACM. The family of Dr. Zimmer asked us to get the article started on Wikipedia and they provided the content. I just added the references that I had available. Some Joe Schmoe that doesn't even know of Allegany College of Maryland(ACM) would not be able to provide those references.

The information summarizes, informs, and references, it does not promote or sell. It states facts; they are not vague or general.

I can not request a username change because I am blocked.

I'm inclined to delete the article completely because it was created in a manner that is not in the spirit of Wikipedia. People can't ask to have an article created about their family member. Instead I'm going to nominate the article for deletion so other editors can evaluate if it is appropriate. This encyclopedia is built by a lot of interested Joe Schmoes by using published reliable sources. Suggesting that you have sole possession of sources needed to support claims of notability for an individual indicates that the individual may not indeed meet notability requirements. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 17:34, 3 July 2013 (UTC) reply

Nomination of Dr. Robert S. Zimmer for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Dr. Robert S. Zimmer is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dr. Robert S. Zimmer until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 17:37, 3 July 2013 (UTC) reply

Unblock

I am unblocking you so that you can do two things: You can participate in the deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dr. Robert S. Zimmer and you can request a username change at WP:CHU/S. In a show of good faith I ask that you abide by these unblock restrictions until a decision is made in the deletion discussion. In the end, the community may decide that you can continue as you have been, but until then we need to allow the process to complete. Thanks for understanding. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 17:42, 3 July 2013 (UTC) reply
