Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Hip hop. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policy for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. slakr 06:07, 24 July 2007 (UTC) reply

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to National Basketball Association. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. slakr 06:09, 24 July 2007 (UTC) reply

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Peter for pb group resized.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI ( talk) 19:17, 12 February 2008 (UTC) reply

Re: your talk page comment

The comment you left here should probably have been left at Talk:Marshall Taylor? The Category talk:Start-Class articles page is not really used for anything and therefore rarely read by anyone. Regarding your query, I'd guess that your edits were probably removed due to being blogspot links. As I'm sure you can understand, people adding links to their blogs is generally frowned upon, but if you believe there should be an exception here, the best place to bring it up would be the article's own talk page, or failing that perhaps one of the projects overseeing the article, such as WT:WikiProject Cycling or WT:WikiProject Biography.
