Thank you for
your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from
Samuel Doe into
1980 Liberian coup d'état. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere,
Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an
edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and
linking to the copied page, e.g.,
copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{
copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at
Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. —

As much as I appreciate your good faith edits to
Americo-Liberians, you need to make sure that your edits fall in line with Wikipedia's standards of both clarity and sourcing. A number of your edits to the page have been poorly written—sometimes including incorrect phrases, missing words, or simply unproofread language. More significantly, you have failed to include sourcing for some of the substantive changes you have made. Please remember, in the future, always to proofread your edits, making sure that they are written correctly and clearly and include all appropriate sourcing. Thanks, again, for your edits. They will be much more meaningful if they are done correctly at every turn. Here are a few links that might help.

Also, I suggest you set up an archive bot for this page, as it is extremely cluttered. You can see how to do that here: /info/en/?search=Help:Archiving_a_talk_page Anwegmann ( talk) 21:07, 20 June 2021 (UTC)

Hello. I have noticed that you
often edit without using an
edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in
your preferences. Thanks!

When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an
edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and
linking to the copied page, e.g.,
copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{
copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination.

Nomadicghumakkad ( talk) 16:47, 25 June 2021 (UTC)I reverted your changes. Whether any of us feels RS coverage is too "slanted" is irrelevant. We go by what independent, reliable sources say. Trying to "balance" the article by citing random commentators does the opposite. See WP:BALANCE and WP:FALSEBALANCE. -- Sangdeboeuf ( talk) 03:53, 27 June 2021 (UTC)

Thanks!
