Hey, I reverted you at {{ Q}}, the purpose of the TfD notice is to inform people that the template is up for deletion, if you exclude it form transclusion like you did, few people who actually use the template will find out, and only those watching TfD or the template itself will know. It also doesn't break the template, it just adds a little text before it's use. You could make it even smaller if you wish by changing the type to |type=tiny.
