May I ask how you extracted some of your audio recordings for the Senate? The Upload Wizard is easy enough but the extraction of audio files from C-SPAN videos is what I'm concerned about. I may add recordings for senators who just left office. SuperWIKI ( talk) 07:22, 9 March 2023 (UTC)
Hi. Your filename for the recording is "David Souter on the Missouri Plan and the the election of judicial offices.ogg" and so there is a repeated "the" ("the the"). You should probably rename it, and any references to it… thanks. jhawkinson ( talk) 01:03, 4 April 2023 (UTC)
Just wanted to make a comment. Senator Fetterman has returned to the Senate full-time but due to his stroke last year which also sparked an auditory processing disorder, most YouTube public domain clips of him at hearings have his voice slurred and/or stuttering. How do we find a specimen voice clip of him as a Senator now? We can either wait for his health to improve or for a voice clip of him as Lt. Gov. Of Pennsylvania or Mayor of Braddock.
As for me, I'm gathering voice clips for senators as far back as the January 3, 2009 term ( 111th United States Congress). Currently at the 2014 United States Senate elections. SuperWIKI ( talk) 19:16, 22 April 2023 (UTC)
I did a little poking around, and wanted to clarify something to you. The only C-SPAN materials that are explicitly in the public domain are footage of the House and Senate floor sessions, where the cameras are government-owned.
Anything else on C-SPAN, including committee hearings, press conferences and non-floor speeches are not in the public domain, and any audio files you've uploaded to such effect may be deleted in the future for copyright reasons.
However, congressional committees these days have their own in-house streams on their official website and/or YouTube channel, some of which stretch as far back as the early 2000s. For your audio files extracted from committee hearings, you may want to go back through them and switch the URL and author, since the audio on the government livestream and the C-SPAN broadcasts are basically the same. Quite a lot of senators and representatives have YouTube channels run by their respective offices, so you can find replacement links from there as well.
I'm about to go to bed, but from my brief look into your uploads, Tuberville's and Kelly's files are potential liabilties. I've already gone through my own uploads (stopped at the 2012 Senate elections). SuperWIKI ( talk) 15:47, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
Thanks for writing Arizona v. Navajo Nation! Larataguera ( talk) 09:59, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
Just saw that you were editing Gordon H. Smith. I have a file of him talking about voting rights already, I just need to clean and cut it for tomorrow. Thanks. SuperWIKI ( talk) 17:03, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
Note: This only covers sitting representatives and recently-retired (from the 2019 election) ones. I don't expect that any of my other uploads of earlier politicians will conflict with yours. Also adding several Trump cabinet members.
Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Stephen Breyer, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Vox. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, -- DPL bot ( talk) 17:59, 3 June 2024 (UTC)

The article Henry Friendly you nominated as a good article has failed ; see Talk:Henry Friendly for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of the article. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Lyndon B. Johnson. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Nikkimaria ( talk) 03:35, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
