Conflict of Interest Editing

Hello, it appears you have added content to the article Palm cooling in violation of Wikipedia's conflict of interest standards. The edits appear to be promotional in nature, and it is unclear whether proper rights have been established to use the photo you uploaded (it appears to be a screenshot of a television broadcast).

To quote the fundamental aspects of those standards:

"Conflict of interest (COI) editing involves contributing to Wikipedia about yourself, family, friends, clients, employers, or your financial and other relationships. Any external relationship can trigger a conflict of interest. Someone having a conflict of interest is a description of a situation, not a judgment about that person's opinions, integrity, or good faith.

COI editing is strongly discouraged on Wikipedia. It undermines public confidence and risks causing public embarrassment to the individuals and companies being promoted."

Echoing the above, this suggestion in not an impugnment of your integrity, and you may not have been aware of the conflict of interest standards. Please consider removing your edits and avoid COI editing in the future. Thanks! Strict1y ( talk) 22:45, 15 October 2023 (UTC) reply

The article, as was written, is incomplete and leaves out many updates on equipment and research that has evolved over the past couple of years. The updates I provided simply points out that there are new tools and articles that people researching the topic should be aware of. I don't understand how only allowing one product to be displayed on the Wikipedia page is fair to anyone else in the marketplace providing a tool that leverages palm cooling. My interest in palm cooling is not a conflict of interest, but of someone with sufficient interest and knowledge on the topic. Kselapt ( talk) 03:30, 16 October 2023 (UTC) reply
It would appear you are writing about a business with which you have a relationship, I could be mistaken. Referring again to the Wikipedia standards:
"An
actual COI
exists when an editor has a COI with respect to a certain judgment
and
is in a position where the judgment must be exercised.
Example: A business owner has an actual COI if they edit articles and engage in discussions about that business."
Are you stating that you have no business relationship with AVA Cooling Technology? If that is indeed the case, and your interest is purely in spreading knowledge about available tools, it appears there are many other tools on the market. A quick google search reveals several other tools being advertised that are not included in this article, and if you wish to make updates for completeness it seems you should be including these other tools.

I would appreciate a response to my concerns raised as I am trying to follow the Wikipedia protocol of contacting you before elevating these issues to their conflict of interest forum.
Please also note, the guidelines suggest that you should also remove the link to the AVA Cooling Technology website.
See the section https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Links_to_other_websites and the section title Links normally to be avoided
