Speedy deletion nomination of Souguide

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Souguide requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. B music ian 07:26, 28 March 2012 (UTC) reply

Hi, of the three similar articles you mentioned, one has been deleted, and one has concerns about notability flagged up.

  • I deleted your recent article because it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines for web or companies. Your only reference was to the company itself, which is is not an independent source.
  • It was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. You tell us nothing about why it is notable, and the text just describes the product in an uncritical and spammy way, including the slogan. Examples of unsourced spammy claims include: Users can meet new people, find friends, flirt or just log in to see what is happening around them.
  • You have an obvious conflict of interest when it comes to editing articles about this subject. Thank you for declaring your interest. If, after reading the information about notability linked above, you still believe that your organisation is notable enough for a Wikipedia article (and that there is significant coverage of the topic in reliable, independent secondary sources), you could, if you wish, post a request at Wikipedia:Requested articles for the article to be created. See also Wikipedia:Best practices for editors with conflicts of interest.
