A tag has been placed on Dehler Yachts requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. answer and contest

Hello shoy,

you nominated the article "Dehler Yachts" for speedy deletion. Unfortunately I cannot find the "contest speedy deletion"-button ... so I contest here by this answer. I hope this is ok? -

May be the article is nor perfect neither ready (missing references and linkage will follow soon). But apart form that the subject is of common interest especially for sailors. Consider that Dehler is a very well known brand for sailing yachts worldwide. Ask sailors, they will confirm! And why is it so well known? Thats because the yard - or lets say the founder Willi Dehler himself - was a pioneer in yacht building for decades. More than 20.000 boats were built by Dehler. You find the boats in every corner of the world. Take a few minutes to read about these things here: h24-files.s3.amazonaws.com/112707/482923-AhklI.pdf

Dehler is - furthermore - a part of sailing history because of its highly innovative competition boats (Sprinta Sport, db1 and db2 --->legendary until today). These boats have shaken up the IOR regatta world in the 1970s and 80s. If you look up at wikipedia you can find only an article in german language. But the history of Dehler is international. Please help to let sailors and others from everywhere know about it!
