Hey Juan Carlos, I've been looking around Wikipedia for important Colombian personalities, specially dealing with politics, drgus, and the armed conflict (Escobar, Galan, Montoya, etc.) but I've seen that either their pages don't exist or the articles are incredibly small. I was wondering if we could somehow get a group of Colombians together to try and work on that. I just figured you'd be a good first person to ask. Later.
Are interested in speading you hatred for Colombia around? If you want to speak shit about Colombia or any country go and copy any American Encyclopedia or the CIA facts book those are very good propaganda sources. You want to talk about drugs but you never mention that the US is the largest consumer of illegal drugs in the world and it is almost legal there. If you want to mention one side of the story you have to mention the other side too for your article to be balanced. -- tequendamia 03:02, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Hi Juan Carlos,
As I'm sure you've noticed, I've been editing a lot of the Venezeulan politics-related articles: Hugo Chavez, Barrio Adentro, Plan Zamora, Rodrigo Granda affair etc. What do you think the biggest missing, inaccurate, or deficient areas are?
Peace,
As far as I can sum up in a few words, they are mostly fine. In the case of the Plan Zamora article, perhaps some more info on the different pro- and con- stances could be added, especially regarding the post-2003/current situation (the international and national (Venezuelan) press has had some pieces about land reform lately, for example, and several alleged incidents). To an extent, that might also apply to the Barrio Adentro piece.
The Rodrigo Granda affair sums up most of the situation quite well, I believe, though I suppose that a few more specific dates could be added, in a chronological manner.
The Hugo Chávez article is a very controversival issue on its own, but the current cleanup seems to be headed in the right direction, in my humble opinion. Juancarlos2004 22:29, 14 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Hey.... thanks for the M-19 corrections... I'm aware my English isn't too good.
-- tequendamia 06:37, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC) I will give evidence of the obvious and evident the same day George Bush provides evidence that Abu Ghraib never happened.
Bolivar did not die of sexual disease, that´s a lie, he died of tuberculosis, hereditated from his mother. He started to have that disease in a peruvian town called Pativilca where almost died, but he saved previous to the battle of Junin. He then wanted to stay in Lima because of the weahther of city shic it doesn´t rain, but the problems in the Greater Colombia forced him to return. His disease countinued in Bogota which complicated and much more with the conspiracy he had from his enemies. The problems, the disolution of the Greater Colombia and the assasanation of Marshall Sucre depressed him which acelerated his desease. One oh his intentions was to go to Europe to recover but he coulnd´t. He died in Santa Marta.
Bolivar got old prematuraly because of the tuberculosis. In that time there was no cure against it. The cure was found in 1880 with the Streptomicin.

Nice work on Unión de Jóvenes Patrióticos. I don't think Kapil understood the point I was trying to make on the talk page. -- Viajero | Talk 10:07, 23 May 2005 (UTC)
Hi again, a minor issue of nomenclature: As you know, we don't refer to people using the apellido matrimonial in Anglo-Saxon countries. In the article Luis Posada Carriles, he is referred to sometimes as "Posada" and sometimes as "Posada Carriles". Is "Carriles" his mother's family name or is it some kind of fancy compound last name? (we have them in English too but they are rare.) Thanks, -- Viajero | Talk 16:59, 23 May 2005 (UTC)

The article Pan-American Highway needs to be cleaned up, and it needs to be rewritten to comform to a NPOV. I know you're having troubles with neutrality because there's a user out there that is adding anti-American setiments to this article. Please continue to try and keep the article as neutral as possible. Thanks. PRueda29 19:26, 21 September 2005 (UTC)
Hi there Juancarlos. I noticed you've done a lot of (excellent) work on the Patriotic Union (Colombia) article. There are a couple of dead external links in the article which you might find it easier to repair than I could as I don't speak any Spanish.
The broken links are number 7, and number 11.
Thanks. -- Spondoolicks 12:00, 26 October 2005 (UTC)
