This edit unintentionally raises new problems. I hope to help resolve them with you.

"I know for a fact that the Jewish Publication Society lists its awards because I updated their list when I was an employee there."

JPS is not supposed to be listing anything on the page about JPS. A JPS employee who does so runs afoul of WP:COI at its most fundamental level.

"I am not an employee of Lilith, just a social media consultant to various organizations." If one of those organizations is Lilith, the same WP:COI problem is implicated. If you are, the thing to do is start a thread on the Lilith talk page, listing the awards and the reliable sources that back them. An editor who has no conflict can review them and add those that comply with the reliable source, notability and verifiability rules. This unconflicted editor should be mindful that the longer the listing of awards is, the more considerations of undue weight and what wikipedia is not come into play.

If you are not a consultant to Lilith, you're free to re-insert the awards yourself, but please familiarize yourself with WP:RS, WP:N, WP:V, WP:WEIGHT and WP:NOT.

I regret being a party pooper. I hope you'll understand. I'm pretty sure any of the editors who've commented on the lilithmag or jmf talk pages would be happy to answer further questions my note full of acronyms might raise. As I said before, I suspect, once you learned the ropes, you could become an excellent contributor. Happy editing. David in DC ( talk) 19:01, 30 November 2011 (UTC) reply
