Carnistan is a micronation founded by James Carne. Its aim is to slowly move up the list of countries by population. Citizenship is available by joining the Facebook group called My Own Country. Citizens who invite a certain number of people to join the micronation may be awarded with a knighthood. The flag of Carnistan, the St. Jimmy Cross, is based on the flags of Cornwall and England. The national sport is Frisbee and there is currently a competition to find the best national anthem.
