Perhaps you could provide more information on Christian Exodus - when was it founded, and how far along are its plans? One of my students had tried to put me in touch with Cory Burnell some years back to coordinate between CE and the Libertarian Party's Free State Project, but I don't think anything ever came of that. Dear Sir or Madam (Dr. DeVries?) -
I ran across the Christian Exodus when I was doing research on secessionist groups and did a little research on Cory Burnell, in the process discovering that he was a regional director of the League of the South. I have attempted to update his article with this information several times, but each time, it keeps getting removed - first by you, as a stated Christian Exodus board member, and subsequently by other individuals.
I understand your revert, so my issue is not really with you, because I cited an unreliable source and made a statement that, upon further investigation, cannot be proven. However, I have since found a more reliable source (Seattle Times) for the mere fact that he held office in the LoS, no mention of white supremacy at all. But every time I attempt to add just that little tidbit, it gets axed with no explanation. I am contacting you because you have a talk page and claim to be a person of possible influence in this matter, while the others are either anonymous or do not have talk pages, and nobody seems to be engaging in discussion on the article's talk page or explaining their reverts in their edit comments.
What I want to understand is this - if I can provide a reliable citation that Mr. Burnell was a regional director of the League of the South, why do people keep deleting it without comment? If this fact is wrong, why won't anyone explain this in their edit comments or on the talk page? I really want to believe the best of people, but this is starting to feel like a bit of a cover-up operation, which would clearly violate the WP:NPOV policy. If you do have any connection to the other editors of this article, can you please advise them that, despite their desire to distance themselves from any connection to the LoS, that facts are facts and are thus appropriate content for this article? Deleting something just because it casts a negative light on something they hold dear is not neutral, and thus not encyclopedic.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, adding content without
citing a
reliable source, as you did to
Edward DeVries, is not consistent with our policy of
verifiability. This is particularly important when it comes to
biographies of living people, where policy states that any material that is unsourced, whether it is positive, negative or neutral, should be immediately and without discussion removed. If you are already familiar with
Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your original references to the article. Thank you.
