- Edit warring over British vs American spelling in any article is a bad idea, and doing so in one of Wikipedia's highest profile articles is especially unhelpful. If you would like to propose swapping the spelling over, please start a discussion at Talk:World War II. However, such a proposal is unlikely to be successful given that there's nothing wrong with British English spelling, and Wikipedia does not have a preference for one variant over the other: please see MOS:ENGVAR.
