Thank you for your edits to Arlington Baptist College. But please be sure to follow the policies and guidelines and tips in the links I pasted above, including WP:NPOV and WP:V. Since this is a college article, you might also want to read WP:BOOSTER, and if you are affiliated with the school, please follow WP:COI. Please also use edit summaries to descrinbe your edits. Finally, you can use the "Preview" button to see how your edits will look before committing them so as to minimize the number of minimal edits you make which make it harder to follow what you are doing (and probably more likely it will be reverted). Happy editing! Novaseminary ( talk) 04:54, 27 April 2012 (UTC)
I have read the article on POV and I do not believe my edits fit into that category. I don't understand why my work keeps getting reverted. It was all historical information that shouldn't be a POV issue. The Ibid was a simple beginners mistake and won't happen again. I followed your directions and still had my work reverted, which is extremely frustrating. Do you have any specific examples of my violations of policy and guidelines? ( Idiefree ( talk) 20:23, 27 April 2012 (UTC))
Now I have a better understanding of what is considered "bias" on Wikipedia. I thought I was adding "flavor" and poetic language to the article, but now I understand the preferred format. However, I want to add some clarification. That sentence was not a direct quote, so I didn't put it in quotations, but the seed concept "was" presented in the cited material. I agree that is a little too close to the line and I'll try harder to avoid paraphrasing so closely in the future. Am I allowed to add the information again later if I make those corrections? ( Idiefree ( talk) 03:22, 28 April 2012 (UTC))
Did I do better?? I added some more info and used neutral language, cited a diversity of resources. I see a few typos, but i'll clean it up a bit later tomorrow. any suggestions are very much appreciated my friend.... ( Idiefree ( talk) 12:58, 28 April 2012 (UTC))
Novas, I disagree with a few of your recent edits on Arlington Baptist College. First, in order to get a clear picture of the school's history one must realize why J.Frank founded his own school. It is tied to his "belief" that the SBC and their colleges were becoming "liberal." Second, emphasis was placed upon the historical features of the campus(i.e gate, tunnel) because those things are apart their heritage. Lets consider a compromise with which we can both live?? (idiefree 02:50, 30 April 2012 (UTC))
I'll agree on removing the bit about SBC and baylor, but lets keep: "The campus still retains many of its' historical features, while updated and modern facilities have been constructed. The sandstone guardhouse and iron gate are historic, as well as the open-air tea garden and unearthed escape tunnels."
(02:58, 30 April 2012 (UTC))
Thanks for all your help Novas. :) You have taught me a lot believe it or not and I am very thankful my friend. I've made many mistakes and you always fix them! thanks :) (idiefree 21:40, 2 May 2012 (UTC))
I added the extra citations that were requested by the other editors; however, the citations are becoming excessive and extremely cumbersome. As a newbie, I am slightly unfamiliar with the finer points of references and citations on Wikipedia. If anyone knows of any short-cuts that aren't as cumbersome to the article then by all means help me implement them. Thanks for uploading File:Bible Baptist Seminary fort worth.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
{{
di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. ☼ 08:25, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
