FisherQueen RfA

Hi Icerinkprincess. I reviewed the interation's between FisherQueen and yourself. I think FisherQueen could have been a little more gentle in her posts to you. She does deal a lot with hostile users (which you in no way were), and such Wikipedia activities tend to get to anyone. It sometimes is difficult to switch gears from talking with hostile users and new people who genuinely want to contribute. Requests for adminship (RfA) really is not an easy process. In addition, the results are very significant on Wikipedia since they follow that editor around for as long as they stay with Wikipedia. If you stay longer with Wikipedia - which I hope you do - I believe that you will come to see just how significant and personal the RfA process is for the person seeking adminship. You do seem like a nice person and I do not think that you would want to unintentionally harm someone else. As you can see from FisherQueen's RfA, you are the only one to oppose her request for adminship. Many others have read your comments still decided to support her request, most likely because it is not really a basis typically used to oppose someone's RfA. It is enough to be upset with her, but it works a very harsh penalty when used to oppose her RfA (I know this from my own experiences). Conflicts with others on Wikipedia are inevitable. However, I believe that you will come to see over time that Wikipedia is not so much built on article content as it is built on us trusting each other and on human understanding and forgiveness of errors. I would be more than happy to help resolve differences between FisherQueen and yourself. Time is short on FisherQueen's RfA, however, as it almost is over. Before her RfA ends at 15:46, 2 July 2007, I am hoping that you reconsider your opposition of her request. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me on my talk page or email me. -- Jreferee ( Talk) 16:17, 30 June 2007 (UTC) reply

I too started off on the wrong foot and now I'm an admin. Wikipedia is summarized well at Wikipedia:Simplified_Ruleset but it usually takes about three month before most people "get" Wikipedia. If you find something confusing in the future, please feel free to ask me about it. I would be more than happy to help you out. -- Jreferee ( Talk) 14:11, 6 July 2007 (UTC) reply
