Proposed deletion of Investment technology news

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Investment technology news, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also " What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{ dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.

Also, please pay attention to WP:COI and WP:SPAM. If you are involved with this company you should leave the creation of its article to other editors. justinfr ( talk) 16:03, 14 August 2008 (UTC) reply

AfD Nomination: Investment technology news

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that Investment technology news meets these criteria, an editor has started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Investment technology news. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last five days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? justinfr ( talk) 16:33, 14 August 2008 (UTC) reply

It may not have been your intention, but this edit removed the article for deletion tag on the article Investment technology news. Please do not do this; the tag needs to remain at the top of the article until the issue is resolved. Continued removal of that tag will be construed as vandalism. justinfr ( talk) 17:03, 14 August 2008 (UTC) reply

I noticed you put a {{hangon}} tag on the page. That tag is only for articles that are nominated for speedy deletion. If you want to dispute the normal deletion process, which is what the current tag indicates is going on, please visit the AFD discussion page for this article. You may also find these guidelines useful. justinfr ( talk) 17:09, 14 August 2008 (UTC) reply

Hello, ITGDeb. You have new messages at Justinfr's talk page.

Investment Technology Group

Hello, I've gone ahead and moved the page to Investment Technology Group. Gr1st has added significant references to the article and so I've also withdrawn my nomination for deletion. Please keep in mind though--I cannot help but notice that you have ITG in your username, which makes me think that you might have a conflict of interest when it comes to this page. It's best-practice to leave its editing to other, non-involved editors in order to maintain a neutral point of view. Cheers... justinfr ( talk) 19:20, 14 August 2008 (UTC) reply
