Hi Hyacynthus! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
Hi, welcome to editing! Your contributions will surely help out around here. I noticed you recently converted Sanzinia from a redirect to an article stub. For monotypic genera, this results in two articles that essentially cover the same thing, forcing readers to navigate two pages to get information on one species. See also Wikipedia:WikiProject_Amphibians_and_Reptiles#Criteria_for_inclusion and the more general guidelines at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Tree_of_Life#Article_titles. If a monotypic genus acquires future species, then it might be reasonable to have a separate genus article which directs to the descendent species. In short, it's generally preferable to have information more centralized and easily found. If you agree, consider merging the two articles as before. Cheers! --Animalparty-- ( talk) 09:32, 15 March 2014 (UTC)
