- Please do not take this personally, Hunk2019. Hundreds of articles are evaluated on the basis of notability every day on Wikipedia. It comes down to the sources for each article, if you have strong, independent secondary sources, it's much more likely that an article will be kept. Any chance this person has received coverage in major NYC dailies or monthly magazines? If so, please add them as soon as possible and note this addition in the AFD deletion discussion.

Alas, the Stephanie Barton-Farcas AfD did not turn out as hoped, but I will keep her article and Nicu's Spoon Theater Company on my watchlist and try to help with the merge when I can. I am finding it takes time to get to know Wikipedia, and I hope you continue to explore the community, including the WikiProjects linked on the Talk pages of articles.

Ah, so someone can be a nobody who loses a leg, is interviewed two times about it and posts that crap and gets a wikipedia page you all eave alone, but someone who writes 4 books and has a theater company for 21 years and is one of the top inclusive theater consultants in the world cannot have a page. - Sometimes there are articles that simply have not been brought to AfD yet. And while I !voted to keep the Stephanie Barton-Farcas article, the WP:ROUGHCONSENSUS from the discussion was based on the technical definition of notability and the necessary amount and type of sources.
- I think these two essays can be helpful in explaining how a discussion about Barton-Farcas could, at least based on the current level of sources, result in a merge instead of a keep:
Wikipedia:What notability is not and
Wikipedia:Subjective importance. I also tend to think about how Wikipedia is a "
lagging indicator of notability", and how the policies and guidelines that form the core of the encyclopedia will replicate the systemic bias that has excluded marginalized topics and people from the significant and in-depth coverage needed to support articles about them. However, it also seems to be only a matter a time before more sources may exist to better support notability and the creation of more articles. As noted

- And in the meantime, I find a lot to do here, including by visiting WikiProjects, which is basically why I suggested it - having one of your first experiences on Wikipedia be an AfD discussion seems like a rough way to start, and my thought is maybe if you found places on Wikipedia that are more focused on building the encyclopedia, the community would seem more welcoming to you and your efforts.
