Have you ever thought about adminship? -- John ( talk) 07:39, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
Just so you know (in case i was not clear) it was I, who support defining Judaism as "sets of beliefs and practices" (rather than "religion") who was accused of violating NOR. On the talk page I provide sources to support my view - it was my use of those sources that provoked the charge of OR against me. Slrubenstein | Talk 13:10, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
By the way I generally agree with your comments. The second paragraph currently states that Judaism is a religion and I would not mind if that were in the first paragraph. i have never objected to saying judaism is among other things a religion. I just think the first "definition" of Judaism cannot be "is a religion" - that definition is both anachronistic (some historians say this was not true prior to Napolean's grand sanhedrin in 1806, and most historians say it was not true before the Roman period) and POV (many Jewish scholars do not define Judaism as a religion).
