Please use edit summaries

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. See also lists

Please do not add multiple items to article See also lists as the ones you contributed to ( Criticism of multiculturalism and Opposition to immigration) are already very long and the runaway additions to the lists reduces their usefulness. Unfortunately, I have had to remove your additions to keep the lists under reasonable control.Thank you. Spideog ( talk) 10:31, 11 December 2023 (UTC) reply

Lead sections

Hi - I'm Girth Summit. I just reverted some stuff you had added to the lead section at Alt-right. Now, I'm not saying that any of the stuff you added was incorrect, but as far as I could see it wasn't covered anywhere in the body of the article. The lead section is intended to be a short summary of the rest of the article - there shouldn't be anything in there that isn't discussed in more detail further down the article, and supported by citations to reliable sources. This is covered in more detail at MOS:LEAD. What I suggest you do, if you believe that material should be included in that article, is to add some content at an appropriate location in the body of the article, ensure that it is directly supported by reliable sources (presumably you can find those at the articles you were linking to? Obviously they would need to support the assertion that the people involved in the protests etc. were from the alt-right). Once that is in place, it might be appropriate to expand the lead somewhat to include mention of those things. Girth Summit (blether) 18:15, 27 January 2024 (UTC) reply

Information icon Hello, I'm JayBeeEll. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Pew Research Center political typology, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. JBL ( talk) 22:51, 10 February 2024 (UTC) reply
