Hi Messedrocker. I personally think that the article should be merged into Adolescence and Sexuality, but that's beside the point right now. The page is in the middle of a revert war, and I was wondering if you could help bring some order back. I'm out of town and have few opportunities to go online. Thanks in any case. I was wondering if you could set your bot up to replace all the instances of Image:Gadsden_flag_large.png with Image:Gadsden_flag.svg. I replaced all the "important" uses myself, but a user (who hasn't been active for a couple months) used the former in his signature, and I don't want to have to replace them all by hand. I would like to delete the png version, since the svg version should make it completely redundant, but don't want to leave redlinks all over talk pages. If you can help, thanks. Could you also make a list of the articles tagged with {{ Unreferencedsect}} and {{ More sources}}? If people remove the unreferenced tag and take an article off the list, they might fear it will lack attention. Having pages for all these templates will encourage appropriate tagging. The mailing list already discussed multiple cases in which articles with lots of sources were tagged as unreferenced. Hi. Your 'bot has just tagged the children's author A. A. Milne with a WikiProject Computing tag. I was going to rv, but I thought I'd ask first in case I'm missing the point, somewhere. Best. Old Moonraker 12:14, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
Yeah. Can you please slow down / revert with your bot, or explain what categories you're using for this? It's definitely contributing to the "everything vaguely related" WikiProject clutter on the top of talk pages. Obscure video game minutiae pages (like 27 True Runes) are getting tagged with WP:Computing. I highly doubt that there's anything in WP:Computing that can aid articles like that, any more than tagging any random Hollywood movie with WikiProject California. SnowFire 12:33, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

I looks like you are already aware of this, but just letting you know that I removed the WikiProject Computing tag from the A Defense of Abortion article, and it seems like more than just this article slipped through the cracks. I apologize if you already knew this. Carry on, and thanks for the good work.- Andrew c 20:24, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
Hi Messedrocker. This needs no action from your part, I just wanted to comment/clarify one thing.
I noticed your MessedRobot added and then removed the "WikiProject Computing" template from the talkpages of two cryptography articles ( A5/1 and A5/2). Your bot left this comment: "Removing WikiProject tag until a more concise list of articles is developed. If this article is relevant to the WikiProject, the tag will be re-added."
Well, the simple answer is that cryptography related articles are not handled by the WikiProject Computing but instead by the WikiProject Cryptography. (WikiProject Cryptography is a subcategory of WikiProject Mathematics and WikiProject Computer science. And WikiProject Computer science in turn is a subcategory of WikiProject Computing.)
So instead we usually tag the talkpages of cryptography related articles with the template {{CryptographyProject}}. So I added that template to those talkpages.
-- David Göthberg 15:44, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
Hi again Messedrocker. I noticed you started to add your "WikiProject Computing" template to crypto talkpages again. I would prefer you would not do that. If all "parent" WikiProjects to crypto would add their templates then we would get 5-10 different templates on top of each crypto talkpage. That will be very confusing for editors. If you intend to keep up with this I suggest you first take it up for discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Cryptography.

According to the 1972 publication Soybeans: Chemistry and Technology which quotes studies dating as far back as the 1940s, highly refined isolated soy protein has an average biological value of 71. [1] Compare this to the average biological value for other soy products as well as different foodstuffs:
I did some digging. You added this to an article. This information is in the soy protein article. This is scrap. I consider this to be vandalism and trash. Since you are the one who added useless scrap to the article you can clean up your own mess yourself. Drecker 18:31, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
Biological value of soy protein
Main Article: Biological Value
Another measure of a protein's use in nutrition is the Biological Value scale. The Biological Value method, which dates back to 1911 relies on nitrogen retention as a measurement of protein quality. However, it does not take into account certain factors influencing the digestion of the protein. Nonetheless, the Biological Value (BV) methodology is an accurate indicator of biological activity for protein quality and utilization in humans.[11][12][13] Soybean protein isolate has a BV of 74 as compared to egg white protein at 83.[14][15]
The above information is currently in the article. More authoritative sources are above. [14][15] are good examples.
There are already more recent and reliable sources and information in the article right now. You still have no good excuses for your vandalism. I like to hear if you have anymore excuses. I am not interested in editing articles on Wikipedia and getting involved in explaining the obvious. You have information in the article that contradicts the other information. You have studies from the 1940s that are scrap and there are recent and more reliable studies thar are far more accurate. Take your pick.
Drecker
17:10, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
These were the most authoritative resources at my disposal. If you can find more recent sources that are just as authoritative, then I would like to see them. In any case, I will see if I can find more recent information in a subscription database I now have access to that I didn't then. I didn't like having to quote very old work, but it was the best thing I could find (there was nothing else that ensured credibility). âSigned, your friendly neighborhood MessedRocker. 19:49, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
Wrong. I pointed to you there are more authoritative sources in the article right now. You still have no excuses left. Drecker 21:15, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
For the record, I am no expert; I don't even have a high school diploma. I'm just a guy who sleuths the Internet for information, adds it to Wikipedia, and cites it. I do feel a bit dirty about citing a work from the 40s, but its authors were great authorities over the subject than some of the modern sources available. I also feel a bit dirty about citing of all interested parties the Egg Council. However, since then, I have gotten a subscription to a database of books which will allow me to do further research on the matter than before. I'll see what I can do about it. âSigned, your friendly neighborhood MessedRocker. 01:26, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Hello, this is a message from
an automated bot. A tag has been placed on
Endless online, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be
speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because
Endless online is a redirect to a non-existent page (

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting
Endless online, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page, and put a note on its talk page. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate
Endless online itself. Feel free to leave a message on

Thanks for uploading Image:OscarHammersteinII.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{ GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{ non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 07:47, 1 June 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShadowHalo 07:47, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Dear MessedRocker,
First, I want to apologize for anything done under my account in the last month and a half or so. My account has been compromised, but I do not know how, when or why. If you take a look at my user page, you will find it no longer exists, and my discussion page is a two-line dialogue between myself and (presumably) my assailant. I am in fact the one who tried to help you translate the French Phalanx page, and I had full intentions of editing it now. However, my password has been changed, and I am feeling completely violated at this point. I do not have an email address, so I suspect this to be the only place we can discuss this. I do not know what to do; is it possible to completely block an account from even being accessed? I assume I would have to make another account. Anyway, you were the only admin I've ever really communicated with at all, and I did not know who else to go to. Any help would be appreciated.
Sincerely, (former) ExNoctem

and the prescription quantities which suggest to me that a 100gm bar of strong chocolate is equivalent to a relevatively large dose. Once they're mentioned and you've doen whatever else you were intending, I would be reacy to pass the article.-- Peter cohen 14:55, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

You should know that you're asking someone who currently can't be arsed to finish the primidone article to make plans like that. If I could just My current "plan" consists of sticking articles that look like they're going to crapped on onto your page if I happen to think they're especially worthy or if they strike my fancy. I'm going to do that with William Shakespeare and I'm probably going to do that with all the vital and core articles that don't look FARC-worthy.
By the way, they don't all have to be featured do they? I was under the impression that they had to be but I'm not always right.-- Rmky87 12:46, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

I know that there is a huge controversy about this article. However, it has mostly been confined to the talk page and the activity on the article itself has been less conflict ridden. The article has now been blocked for almost two weeks. Considering that the “edit war” that led up to the block was less than 50 edits, with most edits in good faith, I think the block can be lifted. The message to the involved editors has been loud and clear. MaxPont 17:15, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Well for a start, the spelling of "guarana" vs. "guaraná" in a Googlefight is about neck-and-neck: [3]. This link uses the spelling with the diacritic. I saw the "guaraná" spelling used frequently throughout the guaraná article and I figured it is technically the correct spelling, as the "guarana" spelling was invented by English speakers for the sake of a diacritic-free word. I'm not sure if it's right to comment on a mediation you've agreed to carry out [4]. But one of the parties in this case ia an adminstrator - I'd rather hope he'd not involve himself in a straightforward partisan discussion, as I detect this one to be. Surely this is the purview for other editors (of whom we have lots)? As a none-too-experienced editor myself, one of my big disappointements is that administrators have failed (or even refused) to comment authoritatively on the real policies we're trying to operate. Hi Messedrocker. Please feel free to use my new scratchpad for experimenting. Harrison-HB4026 09:41, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
So Ed posted #wikipedia IRC logs on Conservapedia? No one is supposed to be even logging wikipedia's IRC channels, right? How can he consider this "matter resolved" when he shouldn't have been even doing it in the first place? Is he still keeping logs? That sort of behavior is scary, a good reason not to participate through IRC. 151.151.73.170 01:04, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, same goes for 1975 in New Zealand television and a host of other television-related articles. Something surely is broken somewhere...â Ãzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ãzhakoff-Amursky) ⢠( yo?); 12:34, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because
Endless online is a redirect to a non-existent page (
CSD R1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting
Endless online, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page, and put a note on its talk page. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate
Endless online itself. Feel free to leave a message on
the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. Thanks. --

I have adopted Wikipedia:Mediation_Cabal/Cases/2007-05-28_Purgatory. I wanted to let you know since you had previously accepted a case regarding this issue. If you would like to assist me, or adopt the case yourself due to your previous mediation efforts, please let me know. Similarly, if you think there's anything I should be aware of, feel free to drop me a line. Be well!

Hi, You said you were maybe going to add a couple of things yeaterday. What were they? I've more or less decided to pass the article, but I think I should wait until you've finished with the updates. I carried out a couple of minor edits of grammar and explaining Jargon.
WHat I see in the French article which doesn't seem to be fully covered are the side-effects:
ANOREXIE (CERTAIN ) NAUSEE (CERTAIN ) VOMISSEMENT (CERTAIN ) DOULEUR EPIGASTRIQUE (CERTAIN )
and the prescription quantities which suggest to me that a 100gm bar of strong chocolate is equivalent to a relevatively large dose.
