The article Bruce Holbert has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{ prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. References for Bruce Holbert

I added the formatting to show the references that you added to the article, unfortunately, these references merely list publishers, and not the works that are being cited. References must be reliable, verifiable, and independent of the subject of the article. Basically, you need to proved information from published third party sources that include the author of the article, the title of the work, the page(s) cited, and the date of publication. This allows other editors to verify the information.

Second, it appears that you may have a conflict of interest. If so, you should be very careful about editing the article, and should note your conflict of interest on the article's talkpage. Regards, GregJackP  Boomer! 16:16, 5 January 2013 (UTC) reply

Formating

I did some minor repairs of formatting errors so the page would display properly for you, feel free to revert if you want. GregJackP  Boomer! 01:53, 7 January 2013 (UTC) reply

I have declined the proposed deletion of this article and added the references that you included on this page. However, the article still needs further references to support the material. These should preferably be independent of the subject and his publisher, for example, reviews in major newspapers.

You should also note that the creation of articles about yourself or your relatives is not generally acceptable on Wikipedia, because of the potential conflict of interest. Please see Conflict of interest and Autobiography for details of Wikipedia's policies. Espresso Addict ( talk) 11:04, 15 January 2013 (UTC) reply
