(I've moved this help request from Talk:Cast The First Stone - please place helpme requests on your own talk page) Chzz ► 22:00, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
How do I set it to go to the disambiguation page: "Cast The First Stone (disambiguation)" that I made instead of automatically going to the album by Ensign. Think both are equally as likely to be visited so no primary page really applies. Although I understand why it's like that because before I made the page there was only that article. Any help would be greatly appreciated? Hope I haven't made too much of a mess:-)My first page and am really proud of it. Thanks in advance. -- Grim Fandango92 ( talk) 21:52, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
←Sorry, I have deleted the Vext album article. There is no article on Wikipedia for the band Vext, therefore there is no point in any articles for their albums. I don't know whether this is because they are non-notable or whether nobody has got round to creating such an article yet. As a result of the deletion, I have moved everything back where it was beforehand. Had there been an article on the band Vext, the correct thing to do would have been to put a disambiguation hatnote at the top of the existing album article pointing to the Vext one. This would have saved alot of disambiguation changes on other pages which must be done: see the "What links here" tab in the toolbox section on the left hand side. If you have any other queries, please let me know. – B.hotep • talk• 10:27, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

I've looked around a bit, and I can't really find a good reliable source to assert notability; plenty of small websites with coverage, but no news articles etc.
Looking at WP:MUSIC, I think the pertinent policy is, "In general, if the musician or ensemble that recorded an album is considered notable, then officially released albums may have sufficient notability to have individual articles on Wikipedia." - so perhaps the best thing to do, if possible, would be create a suitable article on the band first - assuming that notability of the band is OK per WP:BAND. A stub would do; and, if I understand the policy correctly, the notability of that would thereby make the album article OK. Chzz ► 17:16, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
