Hello Greentubing,
Sorry, I cannot agree. I think rather, that the "sky blue" of the Flag of Fiji (and probably also Tuvalu) should deliberately not the same as the others in the ensign system. And if you take a look to the official government website [2], the blue is much brighter. de:Benutzer:Kookaburra
I translated your comment on de:Diskussion:Flagge Fidschis. -- de:Benutzer:Head
The problem stems from the Pantone specs. You can interpret Pantone 549C in two ways:
I prefer the latter since WP is a computer-based resource. Bartram on his World Flag Database seems to agree with the latter colouring also. The case for the former is that is more familiar to some.
Either way, they are both correct, but I think the screen version of 549C would be better. As of today the current Commons SVG of the Fiji flag is of the lighter 549C.
IMO we shouldn't edit the flag anymore until we get some vex-experts in to tell us which one is correct.

Hi Greentubing - a couple of things. Firstly - and most importantly - the flag is only a proposed flag for Ross Dependency - no flag other than the NZ one is officially used there, although my proposal has flown over the ice (thanks to a scientist friend who has worked at Scott Base). Second, as to the colour, my original intention was for it to be ice blue, though it is usually shown online as sky blue (mainly because when I first put a picture of it on the web my use of graphics programs was limited to 16 colours, which gives some indication of how long ago it was!). It should be a lot cooler and less saturated than the image on Wikipedia - RGB values of around R 40%, G 60%, B 80-100%. Grutness... wha? 07:54, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
No, that's fine. My original design had the Southern Cross a little smaller, but ISTR the version that actually flew over the ice was like the one shown, with the stars as on the NZ flag. Other than that it looks great :) Grutness... wha? 08:55, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:England-Richard-I-Arms.svg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{

to release it under the
Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license or {{

Hello, Greentubing. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image ( Image:Angl-NZ-Polynesia-Arms.svg) was found at the following location: User:Greentubing/Heraldry. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. I believe Image:Standard of the Canadian Governor General 1931.svg may be helpful. It is identical to the other images of the 1931 Canadian GG's flag I found online; though the png thumbnails show up messy for some reason it is a very good svg. If you pop in at some time during your wiki break I have a favour to ask. I am working on the Royal Observer Corps entry and have used your Air Cdre and Gp Capt rank images (thanks for those). Could you possibly do some diagrams for the ROC ranks - same as RAF but with no pale blue lines in the middle of the braiding....I need Gp Capt, Wg Cdr, Sqn Ldr, Flt Lt and Flg Off ranks converted to Obs Capt, Obs Cdr, Obs Lt Cdr, Obs Lt and Obs Off. Hope you can help 21stCenturyGreenstuff ( talk) 18:04, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current
Arbitration Committee election. The
Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia
arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose
site bans,
topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The
arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to
review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on
the voting page. For the Election committee,

Thinking about your summer break? Think about joining other Wikipedians and Wikimedians in Golden Bay / Mohua! Details are on the meetup page. There's heaps of interesting stuff to work on e.g. the oldest extant waka or New Zealand's oldest ongoing legal case. Or you may spend your time taking photos and then upload them.
Golden Bay is hard to get to and the airline flying into Tākaka uses small planes, so we are holding some seats from and to Wellington and we are offering attendees a $200 travel subsidy to help with costs.
Be in touch with Schwede66 if this event interests you and you'd like to discuss logistics. Schwede 66 09:14, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
G'day mate,
The Flag of Essex you contributed appears to have stripes down the middle of each sword, however that shown on the website of the Flag Institute does not. Was this a mistake on your part?
