I took your recap from stage five and just added what was left of a pretty lacklustre Giro for BMC. Probably the polar opposites of a Saxo Bank-SunGard section, which will be rather larger! I must have left the last comment as you were archiving! Cs-wolves (talk) 15:58, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
I had been meaning to ask about them many weeks ago, but of course I got sidetracked...but good to see you back. ;) I have also been meaning to set up either an Excel document or a database to input the year's results to, so I know what was won and when without the need to check back. Tedious, but that fits right into my ballpark, haha! I think we also have to remove some results, especially from last year's Tour of California after a certain P. Zajicek's life ban and result removal from 2007 onwards. Cs-wolves (talk) 13:49, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
It sounds like you turned a hobby into a job, right? Congratulations on that! It's a bit sad to see a good contributor leave the project, but it's good that you're doing it for the right reasons. -- EdgeNavidad ( Talk · Contribs) 19:51, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
"WikiProject Report" would like to focus on WikiProject Cycling for a Signpost article. This is an excellent opportunity to draw attention to your efforts and attract new members to the project. Would you be willing to participate in an interview? If so, here are the questions for the interview. Just add your response below each question and feel free to skip any questions that you don't feel comfortable answering. Other editors will also have an opportunity to respond to the interview questions. If you know anyone else who would like to participate in the interview, please share this with them. Have a great day. - Mabeenot ( talk) 23:39, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
Don't know when you'll read this, but yeah...have you got a dunce's hat for yours truly for that Garmin edit? I hang my head in shame. ;) Cs-wolves (talk) 23:18, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
With all the rumours of transfers going around, do you think it would be useful to create some sort of seasonal cycling transfer page? I was thinking of a page such as List of Belgian football transfers summer 2011 where it is split per date and per team (e.g. List of cycling transfers winter 2011), but then for cyclists instead of footballers ofcourse. One article per season containing all cyclists moving from/to all (new+old) UCI ProTeams and UCI Professional Continental teams should do. But then on the other hand, probably it will be a page without much prose and apart from the teams' season page not much would link to it either...
Note: I just checked, seems like UCI is interested in introducing an official transfer period.
Thanks for your two cents. Pelotas talk 09:22, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
Hi Nosleep (yes I know you changed your name to Green-eyed girl, but thats what I know you as), but I digress....
I've been working on the 1988 Giro d'Italia lately, my ambition is for it to become a good article. I know you are knowledgeable with the Giro d'Italia and its relating pages. I was wondering if there are any sites that you use that could be of some help for me, sites that have in depth stats about yearly Giro d'Italias? If you don't have any sites that's okay, I was just curious. ThurstAsh13 ( talk) 04:01, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

Having never put an article up for GAR before, I suppose that after nearly six (intermittent in the early times) years, I really should become used to doing so. With that, I'm sure that I could be able to, if I can fit it around the other areas of work I have here. That and finishing off an Excel document of the Pro & Pro-Conti teams and their performances in 2011; in case we have missed any results out! ;) Craig (talk) 00:46, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
Well, I am still adding prose to all of them (except the Ag2r, that one's done). It should be obvious when they're done. It's going to take me a lot longer than I first speculated. Finishing the Ag2r article took about three days, and there's 19 more for me to do ;\ (I have no intentions of working with the Sky, Vacansoleil, or Verandas Willems articles). Green-eyed girl ( Talk · Contribs) 20:12, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
The Astana article is now finished on my end as well. Couldn't think of a logical pic to put in it. If we had one of Kreuziger in the Astana kit, that'd be good. Anywho, just so you know. Green-eyed girl ( Talk · Contribs) 17:49, 30 October 2011 (UTC)

The last three, as I've said, I have no intentions of writing (I'm not really sure why the Veranda's one was even started...I'd sooner see Skil-Shimano, Colnago-CSF, Acqua e Sapone, or even Andalucía-Caja Granada get one). I would be obliged if those which I finish could be nominated at GAN, because I think they'll easily pass. The only reason I'm not doing them myself is because I don't expect to be active on Wikipedia at all at the time they'd be reviewed. Really, my other commitments dictate that I should not be spending as much time here currently as I am, but I would really, really like to get the 20 articles I started finished and up to GA snuff. It's just...a little bit mentally draining. Hopefully it'll be done by the end of the year. Green-eyed girl ( Talk · Contribs) 23:19, 5 November 2011 (UTC)
And you're welcome to help. There was already a pretty decent section for the Giro on the BMC article (I added to it a bit). Don't be afraid to try a little prose writing ;) (though that realistically goes for all of WP:CYC). Green-eyed girl ( Talk · Contribs) 23:22, 5 November 2011 (UTC)

Okay. I have marked off some articles on the chart that I really do not care to write. I mean, twelve months ago when I started this, I'd've loved to, but in the interests of moving on with my life, they're the ones I'd like to skip. They're the ones in which I'm least interested. If you could take up the reins on those articles (because you really did fantastic on the two V-teams), that'd be a big help.
Green-eyed girl (

And hopefully the way I have the articles prepped is clear (with the comment tags). There is one race missing from the single-day rundowns in the comment tags - the GP Quebec. I just...missed updating it. So if you do take up the articles I marked, do be sure to check that race for a team's top performance.

May as well stick it here; yeah, it makes sense...it's just habitual to stick everything into the convert thing, it has almost became automatic! The 1400 edit day involved a lot of page moving, mainly moving years to the beginning of the article name than at the end, and also sticking en dashes in... As you might expect, I was really bored that day, and just went into overdrive. Ha! Craig (talk) 19:02, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
Getting back to the title of this thread - the first four articles have now all passed GAN. I'd say that any marked as 'done' would probably meet the criteria, maybe worst-case scenario they need a little tweaking. If so inclined, you could list them for peer review and possibly even FAC. If so inclined. I am absolutely, beyond a shadow of a doubt no longer going to be even this active come the new year, so a) I'm not going to do it myself and b) it matters little to me (writing good articles {no pun intended} is important to me, not shiny little stars). But if you, or WP:CYC, wanted to go that route, it's not going to be an uphill finish {pun definitely intended}. Green-eyed girl ( Talk · Contribs) 02:23, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
I'm hoping to do the three that you haven't touched before the end of the week if possible. I don't think it'll take too long to get Veranda's out the way...I've given it a start already and with me being all caught up with my results, I can now carry on at a fair slog to get it done. Sky and Vacansoleil will be slightly longer due to their more successful seasons, but if I'm done by Friday with them, I'll be delighted. Hopefully you can cast an eye over them when you get an opportunity to do so. That way I can get on with the others that you may not have the time for. I would love for other people to help us two, but the chances of it sadly, are pretty low. And that disappoints me... Craig (talk) 22:00, 30 November 2011 (UTC)
Funnily enough, I had just lifted that from the Matt White section on the Garmin page! Yeah, just a seventh place in the Marseillaise race the week before it all kicked off on that "training ride". Craig (talk) 23:13, 2 December 2011 (UTC)
