You suggested a merge to Circumcision controversies. There was a late suggestion from User:Devonian Wombat that you might not have seen, to target MissbrauchsOpfer Gegen InternetSperren instead, because this is the group sponsoring the awareness day. This seems much more logical to me. Would you have any problems with that as the merge target? Joyous! | Talk 20:38, 11 November 2022 (UTC) reply

@ Joyous!: Thank you for noticing this to me. I agree with the proposed merge. GenoV84 ( talk) 11:03, 12 November 2022 (UTC) reply

Discussion at 2022 FIFA World Cup

I see your proposal as a clearly good faith move in the right direction, but there are two discussions going on simultaneously. If you agree, I can reorganize the conversation into two clear sections: the first about the introductory paragraph, and the second about the Controversies section of the article. If you would rather reorganize it yourself without deleting anything, please feel free. Let me know. إيان ( talk) 18:14, 22 November 2022 (UTC) reply

Thank you for your collaboration. I agree with your proposal to reorganize the current discussion in two separate sections. GenoV84 ( talk) 19:19, 22 November 2022 (UTC) reply

Hi, saw your edit. See, I thought "primarily from" was more POV/contentious language than "especially in". To me, "primarily" buys into the Qatari claim that only Westerners are concerned about human rights. I feel like we should just take out ", primarily from the Western world" completely. What do you think? Adeletron 3030 ( talkedits) 14:05, 28 November 2022 (UTC) reply

Hi, I understand your concern about the correct wording regarding that phrase, and I know that you are editing World Cup related articles in good faith. I'm not sure what to do about this.... I think that it would be inaccurate both ways, since India, Bangladesh, and Latin American countries have criticized the current World Cup along with Western (European and North American) countries. GenoV84 ( talk) 14:12, 28 November 2022 (UTC) reply
So I guess my question is, why mention western countries at all when the criticisms are widespread and not just limited to Europe and North America? Adeletron 3030 ( talkedits) 14:25, 28 November 2022 (UTC) reply
Another editor, which attempted to delete sourced content several times on the main article and the one regarding the controversies about the current World Cup, decided all by himself to add that phrase without consensus, despite the fact that it is clearly a non-neutral accusation towards the entire Western world, which blatantly ignores all the criticism from South Asian and Latin American countries. We should just remove it and replace it with something more neutral, like this: "the 2022 FIFA World Cup has been criticized by several countries in different parts of the world".
