![]() | If you want to leave me a message, feel free to do so, but please be aware that I’m not getting any notification bar anymore – but just a white number in a little red box on top which you don’t notice very much when it changes from 0 to 1. This fact is due to the change in the notification system in the beginning of May, so I may see your message accidentally or at any time, when I’m especially looking for it, but not when I don’t especially look for it all the time.
You will maybe reach me better at my Wikidata talk page or at my Translatewiki talk page (where I’m not so often around); there the orange notification bar wasn’t taken away up to now, so messages can be seen at once there. I’m really hoping that won’t also be changed there in the future. If you also want any user to be able to see new messages again like before, then think about signing the petition to the WMF on handling of interface changes or take part at this discussion about the old visible notification bar or at this talk about obtrusive JavaScript (which is the case here). Or perhaps you may want to take part in Wikipedia:WikiProject Accessibility to make things better here. Thank you for reading and understanding. -- Geit ost 12:12, 19 May 2013 (UTC) |

In your question at 20:01, 14 August 2010 (UTC) in the Copyright problems page, you seem to be asking if it is a copyright problem for a user to place a copy of an article in his/her user page. Since Wikipedia has a very liberal copyright license policy, I don't think there is any copyright problem unless that version of the Wikipedia article had material in it that had been copied from outside Wikipedia in a way that violated copyright.
Do you think that this version of the article had a copyright problem?
The English Wikipedia does have a guideline about putting the functional equivalent of articles in a user page, at Wikipedia:User pages#Pages that look like articles. The user page you questioned, at first glance, seems to run against the "Pages that look line articles guideline but unless your answer to the question above is "yes" then I don't think there is a copyright violation.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current
Arbitration Committee election. The
Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia
arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose
site bans,
topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The
arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to
review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on
the voting page. For the Election committee,
