Detlof von Winterfeldt is the director of the University of Southern California’s Center for Risk and Economic Analysis of Terrorism Events (CREATE). CREATE was established in 2004 as a Center of Excellence by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Technology Directorate.
A Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering, and Public Policy Management in October 2016 he was named the inaugural holder of the J.A. Tiberti Chair in Ethics and Decision Making.
