Dear GHe, thank you so much for your beautiful words, your kidness and your trust in me. My
Request for Adminship is finally over, and the support and appreciation that the community has gifted me will stick in my mind as long as I live. I have no way to properly express how grateful I am to you for all you've done for me, and all I can tell you is, I'll try not to disappoint you nor anyone else with my use of the buttons... and if I mess up, make sure to
come here and give me a good yell! :) Seriously, tho, if you ever need my help, either for admin-related stuff or in any other way, you'll always be welcome to message me, and I promise I'll try my very best.
Despite I've never had the pleasure of talking to you until now, dear Ghe, I really think the best gift that my RfA has given me is to meet people like you, as I see that you're a great editor and an awesome person. From this day on, I also consider you my friend, and I'd be happy and honored if you accept me as your own. I also know that you must be concerned regarding your own RfA right now; I'm confident you will make it, and I hope to see you proudly wielding the mop in no time :) Go for it! With a big hug, your friend,
GHe, I'm not sure which way your RfA will go, but I still want to elaborate on my RfA vote before the flood of comments one way or the other. To me, what an admin candidate wants to do has a lot to do with whether they should be an admin. Others say (and I have no reason to doubt) that you are deliberative and will accept criticism. However, I think deleting items from CAT:CSD is a special task because, unless the page creator knows where to find the deletion log (which took me months to figure out), it's impossible even to ask the deleting admin why it was deleted. I've done a lot of new page patrol, and even now I can make some serious mistakes. Others have made similar blunders: 1, 2. I was unimpressed with your answers because they essentially regurgitated policy, where the real situation can be more complicated. WP:CSD#A7, for example, is quite controversial and I've found it difficult to apply fairly. I think if you spend a couple of months doing new page patrol or participating in AfDs (or both), I would be happy to support.-- Kchase T 19:00, 8 August 2006 (UTC) reply
I am sorry to inform you that your Request for Adminship (RfA) has failed to reach sufficient consensus for promotion, and has now been delisted and archived. Please do not look upon this outcome as a discouragement, but rather as an opportunity to improve. Try to address the concerns raised during your RfA and, in a few months' time, resubmit your request. Thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia in this capacity! Just got a popup associated with my IP. After seeing this, and having zero interest in Harry Potter, I decided to register and tell you about my ISP. I live in Ireland and get DSL through BT Ireland who use dynamic IP's for their home customers. So Im pretty positive that the original vandal has another IP at this stage so your warning got passed to me by being the current owner of the IP.
Well just thought you would like to know.
