Hi Frayae, I'm writing you you because you're the extendedmover and extendedconfirmed who moved the pages "Giuseppe Pitré" and "Sicilian Ethnographic Museum Giuseppe Pitré" to their correct spellings. I'm an Italian from Sicily, and I noticed your moving, so I've read the motivation and understood they were correct. Unluckily, as perhaps you already know, a German user rollbacked your moving. This user is an admin in German wiki (but he belongs to no user group in English wiki) and there he rollbacked the correct moving, but he didn't stop: he went in the other wikis where the pages had already the correct accent to move them to the wrong spelling or to change the corretc spellings in the page texts. I've said that "Pitré" is the correct spelling, why am I saying this? Because in Italian we use 2 accents over final Es: grave (è), indicating the pronunciation /ɛ/, and acute (é), indicating the pronunciation /e/. This relation is biunivocal, a certain accent spelling corresponds to a certain voice pronunciation, and a certain voice pronunciation corresponds to a certain accent spelling, there's no exception to this rule in Italian. As different local pronunciations of English exist, also in Italy people pronounce words and names in different ways depending on the place where they live, but the Standard Italian, the one written in dictionaries and pronounced by actors and dubbers, is the Tuscan (Florentine). The DOP, the Dictionary of orthography and pronunciation, is the most authoritative source about Italian orthoepy. It's a landmark for professional actors and dubbers, and in Italian wiki (but also others, such as English wiki) it's considered the standard reliable source about Italian spellings and pronunciations. If it registers the spelling "Pitré" and the pronunciation /pi'tre/, without indicating other spelling or pronunciations (sometimes this happens), then it means that, in Standard Italian, that's the only correct spelling and pronunciation. Probably you'll be wondering why the other spelling is also common. That's for a series of reasons: 1) Italians don't care so much about accents (in fact I told you that out of Tuscany (Florence) people pronounce Es (and Os) mid-open or mid-close depending on their location, so we often type the wrong final accent (I'd like to add that our keyboards are made in this way: we have a button for "è", but to type "é" we must type "Shift" + "è", that's why wrong spelling with "è" are more common than wrong spellings with "é"), if you google for "perchè", which is a wrong spelling for "perché" (why/because, which is a very common word), you'll find tenths of millions results; 2) in XIX century (when Pitré lived) there wasn't yet a clear distinction between the 2 accents in Italian (when he was born "Italy" didn't even exist yet) and the grave was mostly used everywhere in final position (if you search for '800 Italian books you'll find out it's exactly as I've said, here's an example: [1]); in Sicily (where Pitré lived) the local pronunciation has only open vowels (/ɛ/ and /ɔ/), so probably Pitré used to pronounce his name /pi'trɛ/ and to sign as "Pitrè", but this doesn't matter at all since Sicilian pronunciation is NOT Standard Italian (I'm a Sicilian, and when I speak I pronounce his name like that, but as I've just said this doesn't matter, I'm Italian first of all). I've written a lot, but I've explained why the spelling "Pitrè" is wrong in Standard Italian. I know that in English wiki you use also another criterium, the "most commonly used" criterium. Well, if you search Google Books you'll find more results for "Giuseppe Pitré" -"Pitrè" (about 180) than for "Giuseppe Pitrè" -"Pitré" (about 90) in English. There're also a lot of web pages with the spelling "Pitré", both in English and in Italian, so the DOP and Google Books aren't the only sources: [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11]. As you see, there's no reason for manteining in these 2 pages the spelling "Pitrè", both because it's the less correct and because it's the less common. Please, move back the 2 pages you'd already moved, you're both an extendedmover and an extendedconfirmed, the German user is "nothing" here, and he proved not to know anything about Italian by qualifying the DOP (the ultimate source about Italian language) as "schifezza" (trash); in this way he actulaly qualified himself, his (wrong) opinions are neither more reliable nor more authoritative than the Dictionary of orthography and pronunciation of Italian language drawn up by 3 of the most important Italian filologists (Bruno Migliorini, Carlo Tagliavini, Piero Fiorelli). Please, I'm asking you to move back the pages on the bases of these sources and because you've got a role in English wiki, unlike the German user who interfered with other wikis business. Hi Frayae, thanks for the feedback! I have worked to replace primary sources with secondary sources in this article. If I have replaced enough sources, could you please remove the "too many Primary Sources" tag from the Hostwriter article? I will also work on removing the "unreliable sources", which I think might refer to the Medium article cited. Thanks for your inputs. It is very much helpful. Is there a way to avoid the Speedy Deletion at least temporarily, so that we can work on the recommended changes? Since Antonio Neri is the President & CEO, of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, we just used the copy from the URL that is mentioned, as nothing it is the accurate information. Now i understand the reason, i will "Say it in my own words".
Though i am part of Hewlett Packard Enterprises, and the site belongs to the company, i need to understand the organization process involved in "Donating Copyright Materials". It would be great if i am able to connect with you & get this page up and running.
