Speedy deletion of Donnie Witt

A tag has been placed on Donnie Witt requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{ hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Ros0709 ( talk) 19:13, 8 December 2008 (UTC) reply

Thanks for uploading File:Donniewitt2.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{ PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{ self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

AfD nomination of Donnie Witt

An article that you have been involved in editing, Donnie Witt, has been listed for deletion. If you are interested in the deletion discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Donnie Witt. Thank you. Please do not remove the AFD notice until the deletion discussion is finished. You are interrupting the process. Try improving the article so that it meets sourcing requirements instead. Examples of good sources include national press articles, journals etc. Thank you. Sillyfolkboy ( talk) 05:41, 18 February 2009 (UTC) reply
Please stop doing this. I hope you decide to approach the articles issues from a rational point of view. It would be helpful if could find any album reviews from national publications as this would help establish how notable the topic is. Please don't be offended—I only use the term "notable" in Wikipedia terms. Personally I think he seems like a decent musician but that is a subjective judgement. It would also be helpful is you could find a source showing the number of albums sold as this might help verify the facts.
On the other hand, if you do not wish to co-operate with neither me, nor the other editors, then I may request that you be blocked from editing for disruption. I hope it doesn't come to that. Thanks. Sillyfolkboy ( talk) 04:10, 19 February 2009 (UTC) reply
