Contesting blocks

In cases where an account is making vandalism-only contributions, blocking indefinitely is appropriate; warnings are optional. If the blocked editor wishes to make legitimate contributions they can request an unblock and explain why they should be allowed to edit here in light of their past behavior. Editing wikipedia is a privileged, not an inherent right.-- Isotope23 talk 15:40, 29 October 2007 (UTC) reply

Whatever! There is a lot of abuse of power on this website and so I am going to keep monitoring what goes on here and reporting it Foofiles 15:43, 29 October 2007 (UTC) reply

It's nice that you're willing to assume good faith, but accounts that do nothing but vandalize in their first few edits are unlikely to change and blocks prevent further vandalism. If a user feels they were blocked unjustly, the unblock template serves to give them a chance to explain their actions. Leebo T/ C 15:46, 29 October 2007 (UTC) reply

Blocked

Blocked as a sockpuppet

You have been blocked indefinitely as a sockpuppet of EverybodyHatesChris ( talkcontribsblock logcreation log).  As a blocked or banned user you are not entitled to edit Wikipedia. All of your edits have been reverted.

Details of how to appeal a block can be found at: Wikipedia:Appealing a block.

I'm sorry if you thought my comment at Wikipedia:Administrators noticeboard/Incidents was agressive and unnecessary, but I can assure you, that no offence was meant to you or anyone else. I do, however, think that one must see all sides of the story, for example the blocked vandal may have created inappropriate pages which were speedily deleted (as it happened, he/she did), and deleted pages do not show in Special:Contributions, however mass creation of bad pages is a call for a block, provided they have been warned correctly. Please do not take offence to this, I'm in no way saying you acted wrong, I was merely giving advice. Cheers, :) Qst 16:14, 29 October 2007 (UTC) reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:JuliusRock.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:JuliusRock.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot 04:48, 7 November 2007 (UTC) reply
