This is your only warning; if you insert a spam link to Wikipedia again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. Please realize that your contributions are public and that they are all being reverted. You are not permitted to solicit Film Comment all over Wikipedia. Erik ( talk | contribs) 19:23, 18 October 2012 (UTC) reply
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or promotion. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{ unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

In response to your feedback

It's because you were adding a website, filmcomment, which doesn't really belong under external links. Wikipedia has guidelines about what links do and don't belong as external links, and you can read about them here.

It's not just that. If you are only trying to include a reference to Film Comment wherever possible, it looks like you are a single-purpose account with a potential conflict of interest. While Film Comment is fine as a reliable source, your contributions cannot be so narrow. It has the appearance of spamming Wikipedia with that particular resource. In addition, it does not actually help search results either; Wikipedia adds "nofollow" values to all off-wiki links used, meaning that spamdexing will not work.
