Hello, Esthappanos Bar Geevarghese. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Joseph Kallarangatt, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. You are holding yourself out as the photographer of two studio photographs of the subject. At the least, this indicates a transactional relationship with the subject (yet you were able to retain rights to the images). — C.Fred ( talk) 12:38, 15 May 2022 (UTC)
Hello Esthappanos Bar Geevarghese. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Joseph Kallarangatt, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the
Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at
User:Esthappanos Bar Geevarghese. The template {{
Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Esthappanos Bar Geevarghese|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message.
To be specific, not only are you adding a gallery of images to the article in violation of WP:GALLERY, but you are also adding images that you took. Since the images appear to be professional portraits, the obvious conclusion is that you have a relationship with Kallarangatt or his church to do promotion and/or public relations. — C.Fred ( talk) 11:35, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on George Alencherry. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Please note that the three revert rule applies to all edits you make, whether you are logged in at the time or not. — C.Fred ( talk) 12:03, 18 May 2022 (UTC)
As previously advised, your edits, such as the edit you made to
George Alencherry, give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's
mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the
Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at
User:Esthappanos Bar Geevarghese, and the template {{
Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Esthappanos Bar Geevarghese|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. Not only are the galleries of images inappropriate per the Manual of Style, but they're showcasing your images. Do not add such a gallery without consensus from independent editors. —

Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have a financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.
