Electron9, Phenylbutazone is used in horses as a pain relief, or a reducer of fevers. Clenbuterol isn't used with horses in any way. Phenylbutazone was used for humans in the past, but is no longer used as it is a possible risk for humans. Hey, I made a further comment in replay to what you said about my concern of selection of companies, you didn't make any further comments or objections, when I said that I will remove the bit on case I know more about. So why do you restore this now and still don't make any comments? - But, as I said on article's talk, Wikipedia's purpose is not to warn people about something. It sounds more like mission statement of a newspaper. In this case it actually might be creating wrong impression to the people - it seems there might be plenty of cases of food mislabeling, if you focus on few cases, it creates impression that nobody else is involved. So on one hand it is WP:UNDUE and unfair to these companies, considering they too did not know what meat it is, and other hand, even if we assume that we should be protecting interests of general public, by misrepresenting the facts and not giving accurate overview you are misleading them to believe that all other food is safe ~~ Xil ( talk) 03:47, 18 March 2013 (UTC)

- I know about the problem with ambiguous use of “M” and “G”. SI defines k = 103 but does not say anything about “K”, and
JEDEC memory standards define K = 210. Just do not bring the dirt where it was not already present, please.

- The hint is the context, ie computer memory equals base 2 is used. Physics stuff equals base 10 etc.. Thus it can from the context VGA -> computer -> memory be deduced that base 2 is used and thus kB will there mean 1024 bytes. The only real mayhem is the use of GB being 10^9 in context of harddisks.

power-on self-test screen on PCs, especially old PCs, then you could notice that it features KB (such as 640 KB, 1024 KB, 4096 KB, 32768 KB…) and never kB. JEDEC seconds this with its notation. And, not least, neither SI nor IEC do not recommend “k” for 1024 (IEC recommends
Ki which is closer to “K” than to “k”). Your edit was a mistake, and if you will not make such “improvements” in the future, then there is no point to continue arguing here.
