Thanks for contributing new article Rory Steyn. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable, by being clearly attributed to reliable sources. Please help by adding more sources to the article you created, and/or by clarifying how the sources already given support the material (see here for how to do inline referencing). Many thanks! PS If you need any help, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me.
PPS I also moved the page, as Steyn's name was misspelt in the article title. Not your fault: it's an unusual surname! If you need any help with your new article, feel free to drop me a line on my talk page. Cheers! CarrotMan ( talk) 14:54, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
You're welcome. It's always interesting to meet new people and collaborate with them, no matter how brief the encounter might be. Good luck with your future editing; why not try looking at some of the links in my welcome message to help you out? Best. CarrotMan ( talk) 19:13, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on The Serenaders requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{
hangon}}
to the top of
the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on
the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact
one of these admins to request that they
userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.

Thank you for reading and understanding the criteria. If the band is recording an EP and will be making a name for themselves soon enough, you can follow the instructions above to ask an admin to userfy the page for you, so that you can continue to work on it in your userspace, and then move it to the main article space once they've done a little more. If there's any way I can be of assistance, please do not hesitate to leave me a message on my talk page. Good luck :) HarlandQPitt ( talk) 15:51, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
