La Cala Resort

Hello. Please note:

  • Per WP:COI, editors with a conflict of interest should avoid editing articles on subjects with which they have an association. And should not edit Wikipedia in their own interests, nor in the interests of external relationships. Editors should also ideally disclose any conflict of interest when discussing affected articles.
  • Per WP:VER, editors should provide sources for any content they remove or change. And should not remove content which is already supported by reliable cites.
  • Per WP:IDHT, editors who do not consider the inputs of other members of the community will ultimately be blocked or precluded from editing some or all articles.

In short: Stop removing cited material and infoboxes, and replacing it with uncited and unsupported promotional material. Especially on articles with which you have a close association. Thanks. Guliolopez ( talk) 16:07, 10 April 2019 (UTC) reply

I have no association with La Cala Resort, the information for the update is coming directly from the Spanish La Cala Resort page on Wikipedia (which you seem to not have an issue with) and the La Cala Website. The English and Spanish version do not match and I’m just making sure they are the same plus adding more information from the website from La Cala Resort. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Duncandavidson87 ( talkcontribs)

Hello. Thank you for responding. On each point:
  • "No COI". OK. If you say so.
  • "The ES version is also full of promo/COI issues." OK. Thanks for highlighting the significant advertising, COI and policy issues on the corresponding article on the Spanish version of the project. I have tagged the article in that project and notified the offending/COI user on that project. The community on the Spanish Wikipedia project can take it from there. Thanks for the heads up.
  • "Just making the content match the promo on the ES project and subject's marketing materials." No thanks. Translating and copy/pasting promotional content (from anywhere) is not an improvement. Or in keeping with guidelines.
Cheers. Guliolopez ( talk) 19:33, 10 April 2019 (UTC) reply
