Right. Firstly, blocks are preventative, not punitive, and "indefinite" does not mean "forever". But you are going to need to make a few adjustments before you are unblocked. To begin with, you are going to need to suggest a new username, one which reflects you as an individual, not as a bot, and definitely not as a group or organisation. You can check the one you'd like against this list to make sure it's not already taken, and put it within this template on your talk page: {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} You are also going to need to stop sending unsolicited messages en masse to dozens of users, because they're not going to find it endearing. Your posts are considered spam here but I can see why you attempted it. I used to deliver resumes to every electrical contractor in town to get work. The one that hired me first called it something similar to spam and I responded that it worked because he hired me. There are many notice boards like the Tea House and help desk that can help you find editors. You should only post in 1-2 of those or they will chew you for cross posting. As to the name change, could the spelling be changed a little? DevBaught, DevBought, DevBaut, etc? I don't know if the case matters, but DevBoT may be acceptable. When I first saw JimboOnline say something to me it scared the heck out of me, but it was allowed.-- Canoe1967 ( talk) 21:15, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for letting me know - I would be able to help from the 19th June Eugene-elgato ( talk) 18:55, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
