Linux/GNU

Hey. Believe it or not, I actually believe that if GNU is being used in conjunction with Linux, it should be called Linux/GNU (see my "proposal" here). Unfortunately, as the other editors say there, the GNU/Linux crowd would never let that be - they are far too wrapped up in their belief that GNU rules the world. ~~ [Jam] [talk] 10:18, 27 March 2008 (UTC) reply

Seems that they ate the whole conversation and removed all my entires :-( -- Deep Alexander ( talk) 01:45, 28 March 2008 (UTC) reply
To be honest, I really don't have the time, effort or inclination to be bothered arguing these pedantic points any more. Probably hence the reason I haven't put my view forward in the ongoing RfC at Talk:Linux. The Linux side are always going to believe it should be Linux, the GNU/Linux side are always going to believe it is GNU/Linux, and the few that would compromise on Linux/GNU are always going to be batted down and told to go away... ~~ [Jam] [talk] 09:51, 28 March 2008 (UTC) reply
