Welcome to Wikipedia, Dcattell! I am Marek69 and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{ helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{ helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Thank you very much Dcattell for welcoming me in turn and for those helpful links. I certainly hope to avoid condemnation and look forward to the work ahead. Philipmerrill ( talk) 04:37, 16 November 2011 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for removing vandalism from Halley. In this case, the vandal had deleted material, and you may not have noticed that it needed to be put back. Please have a look at WP:REVERT as it teaches you various ways to revert to undo damage since previous versions. Feel free to leave me a note if you'd like to ask anything. Happy editing! - Fayenatic (talk) 19:13, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
Thank you Marek69 and Fayenatic.
Not sure where it should go.Should be merged into something relevant. -- Adi4094 ( talk) 09:37, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
I presume you missed this which with all respect is better than your present article, which is a fork of the Yu the Great one at the moment. Except of course for the great discrepancy between the two articles in dating and who was Emperor, which bothers me as you link to our Yao article which says (traditionally c. 2356-2255).. Where do you get your dates from? Dougweller ( talk) 03:05, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
Hi Dcattell. I posted a message for you on the talk page of the user page where you commented earlier today. I decided to accept your idea and I did some quick but relatively good work on the page. I also see that you've been editing Shennong recently. I've been editing Yellow Emperor, so we seem to have more than one common interest! Just out of curiosity, how did you find my mother-ship wiki? (You can reply here.) Cheers, Madalibi ( talk) 08:58, 17 November 2011 (UTC)
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Huaqing Pool. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Huaching Pool. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Huaching Pool - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Albert7777 ( Talk) 01:36, 20 November 2011 (UTC)
Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
