Welcome!

Hello, Claire.McInally, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was British Polar Engines, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

Apologies- I will read over the tutorial page to familiarise myself with the editing.

I will also try and change my username.

Your username was changed already. "About us" pages are very unlikely to make decent encyclopedic content since they're written for a different purpose. Wikipedia articles instead should be based on what reliable inependent sources such as newspapers or reputable magazines report about the subject. Furthermore, to avoid opyright issues you should summarize in your own words what those sources report, and you should cite the sources so others can verify that your summary is accurate. See WP:Referencing for beginners for more details on how to easily cite your sources. Huon ( talk) 16:01, 12 August 2015 (UTC) reply
