If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Frankie Martinez requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. 舎利弗 ( talk) 05:09, 22 May 2014 (UTC) reply

Re your message: The article was deleted because you did not establish why she is notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia. You may recreate the article, but you need to provide citations from reliable sources establishing her notability. The SalsaWiki link is not sufficient to establish her notability. -- Gogo Dodo ( talk) 05:14, 23 May 2014 (UTC) reply

You might want to check out Wikipedia:Your first article, you're obviously interested in Salsa (dance), so looking at the pages which already exist to see how they can be improved might also be a good idea. The problem with the articles you're receiving warnings for (as above) is that it's not clear what the notability of the subjects is, which should be indicated through the use of sources independent from the subject (e.g., not their own webpage). These should be reliable sources - so the salsa wiki, while maybe a useful resource for dancers, doesn't really count here. You also need to make sure that articles are neutral and don't contain original research, with verifiable claims contained. If you look at what I tried to do on the Eddie Torres article, I've separated out some 'facts' which need verification, added some better sources (independent books) for some of the claims, and I think I removed a bit of more promotional style writing. I'm sure it could still be improved further, but hopefully notability is established so it won't be deleted. Hope that helps and hope you can find a way to contribute!
